The other day Stu challenged me to create a photo essay of Luperon consisting of twentyone photographs taken over seven days and then have some kind of outcome that was up to me. The prize for my success was rather tasty and so I began the next morning with a camera and a dead battery and didn’t get very far for obvious reasons. I shot over 300 photographs during that week, most of them struggling to reach mediocrity but at the end I had a photo exhibition of my twentyone photos. I hung them aboard P’tit Louis, a 50+ foot schooner belonging to our good friends Natalie and Olivier and invited the crowd around.

So here are some of my favourite shots. Not all of them were included in the exhibition because they didn’t say as much about Luperon but I get to show them here.

All of the photographs were shot in seven days and they are exactly as shot with no cropping or photoshopping. I didn’t get all the shots I wanted and so the quest continues, but here’s a little offering for now.
